Fieldwork and Projects

Practical experiences involving fieldwork, data collection, community engagement, and independent projects beyond the classroom.

A visit to Bharat Kala Bhawan in Bhopal offered a deep dive into India's cultural heritage. The museum's diverse sections—featuring modern art, tribal galleries (Gond and Bhil art), traditional artifacts, and a multilingual library—highlighted the nation's artistic and historical richness. Untitled paintings encouraged personal interpretation, while exhibits like J.Swaminathan's work on the Bhopal tragedy evoked powerful emotions. The experience underscored the vital role of art and language in preserving identity and connecting past to present.

Corruption in India permeates all levels, from bureaucracy to businesses, stifling economic growth and deepening inequality. It forces small entrepreneurs to pay bribes for basic permits, disproportionately impacts the poor, and erodes public trust in institutions. Major scams like 2G Spectrum and infrastructure failures highlight systemic issues. While digital initiatives and youth activism offer hope, combating corruption requires stricter laws, transparency, and civic engagement to build a fairer, more prosperous India.
